Ilaria Cavalca
Ilaria Cavalca was born in Montecchio Emilia (RE) on May 20, 1981. She studied piano in the classes of Ennio Pastorino and Franca Bacchelli at the Music Institute ‘Achille Peri’ of Reggio Emilia where she obtained the diploma of II Level with full marks in piano and in 2011 he deepens the study of chamber music attending the course held by Bruno Canino. About choral training, he attended several master classes and workshops. There were numerous concerts held on the national territory as a chamber music pianist. She has collaborated on the piano in the percussion classes, strings, woodwinds and choral singing of the ‘Achille Peri’ Institute, in the percussion class of the master David Searcy at the Civic School of Music in Milan and she was pianist in the Compagnia Operette Corrado Abbati during the 2008/2009 season. Since 2012 she has been the pianist of the Auroraensemble which proposes the calls for repertoires and the diffusion of the twentieth century and contemporary composition. The trio has an intense concert activity (Museo del Novecento in Milan, NED review of Desenzano sul Garda, Marcella Crudeli’s Cultural Center, Casa della Musica in Parma, Adria Conservatory, Tadini Academy to mention some places in which she performed) and boasts numerous ‘premier’ and original compositions dedicated to the group by important composers of the Italian scene: Bosco, Bianchera, Rettagliati, Tessadrelli, Giacometti, Mannucci, Facchinetti, Talmelli. Since 2017 she is a member of the Italian Society of Contemporary Music (SIMC). She is currently employed at the Music Institute ‘Achille Peri’ as a piano teacher and as an educational coordinator assigned to the school of music of the town of Cavriago (RE) and she is responsible for the music workshops of four primary schools of the province. In addition to conduct the Regional Youth Choir, she has been the conductor of the Choir Don Dossetti (1st Prize at the Choral Competition “Città di Riccione” 2017) and from 2004, together with Corrado Pessina, of the Vocinsieme Choir in Gattatico.
